It’s now the holiday season, but stories of strategy and surrender still must be told.
We are pleased to announce that the Battlebox and Battlebox Visitor Centre will remain OPEN for business as usual, today (Christmas Day), tomorrow (26 December, which is a public holiday in Singapore), New Year’s Day (1 January), and 2 January (which is also a public holiday in Singapore). Our tour timings remain unchanged.
However, for the 2.5-hour Of Graves, Guns & Battles tour, it will NOT be held on both Mondays above – 26 December and 2 January. The GGB Tours for 29 December and 5 January – both Thursdays – will take place as per normal.
The Battlebox has reopened for only 10 months, but on TripAdvisor, we have now accumulated almost 300 reviews, and are now ranked #15 out of 779 “things to do in Singapore”, and #2 out of 98 museums in Singapore!
We will like to thank each and every one of you who have given the Battlebox such wonderful reviews. Your compliments and feedback continuously spur us on to give the best in our tours and service.
Despite the odds and the challenges, we will continue to do our very best to ensure your visit to the Battlebox is a fruitful and memorable one.
Once again, thank you for your support – your ticket price goes entirely towards paying for the maintenance and survival of the Battlebox as a crucial historical site in Singapore.
Please keep the reviews and feedback coming in!
To all who are planning to walk up Fort Canning Hill to the Battlebox from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, please take note: The staircase next to Park Mall has closed.
This is because Park Mall itself is currently undergoing demolition.
This means the map and directions on our Battlebox brochures are outdated. We will print a new map and directions in the next print run.
Meanwhile, we have planned a new route for you from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station to the Battlebox. Please click here for a detailed Visual Guide. The new route reflects the latest changes to the landscape caused by the demolition works.
If you have further queries on how to get to the Battlebox, please call the Visitor Centre on +65 6338 6133, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
